Bark editors offer a tip for every state in the union as well as DC
Alabama: Dogs on leashes are welcome anywhere in Little River Canyon National Preserve, including the Visitor Center, where we are told that treats are often available at the information desk.
Alaska: Wrangell-St. Elias National Park is perfect for thick-haired, snow-loving creatures like bears, seals, and malamutes. Answer the call of the wild in an area of up to six Yellowstones. (Note that while unleashed dogs are allowed on trails, bears and moose are still at large here.)
Arizona: Sedona is the center of the state’s legendary Red Rock Country. The area offers a lot to marvel at: red rock towers, sandstone cliffs and a perfect view. Several companies offer dog-friendly jeep tours.
